Terms of Service
By using Gitstory, you agree to these terms.
Plain English: Gitstory generates descriptive summaries from GitHub activity. It’s not a certification, and it won’t always be perfect.
1. The service
Gitstory provides an automated analysis of GitHub activity to generate a narrative, metrics, and summaries. The output is descriptive and based on observable patterns.
2. Repository selection
You are responsible for selecting which repositories (public or private) to include in the analysis. Gitstory will only analyze repositories you explicitly authorize.
3. Output limitations
Generated output:
- Is descriptive, not evaluative
- Does not measure skill, seniority, or quality
- May contain errors or omissions
- Should not be treated as professional certification
4. Your responsibilities
You agree not to:
- Use Gitstory to analyze repositories you are not authorized to access
- Misrepresent generated output as human-written verification
- Attempt to abuse, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the service
5. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of your GitHub content. Gitstory retains ownership of its software, analysis logic, and presentation. You may share your generated page and summaries, subject to these terms.
6. Availability and changes
The service is provided “as is” and may change over time. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if we believe the service is being misused or used in violation of these terms.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
